There is a great part in the film "Kingdom of Heaven" when Liam Neilsen's character says to his son, (I'm paraphrasing) "Tell the truth. WHATEVER the cost."
Sometimes being true to yourself has immense costs. Of course, NOT being true to yourself would be infinitely more costly.
