If you are leaving the States to move to europe you need to do some more research about your future life there if you are still asking basic questions. I did the tranition but it took a long time to start feeling like this was my home and that was with a shared language. Follow your heart but make sure it is where you want to live before cutting your ties.

Oh and you still have to pay American taxes.
