When I lived in the dorms napster was the craze. It was practically the only way to get mp3s. The university had the program banned and you couldn't access the internet with it. But about 5 hours after they officially banned the program some of my computer science friends wrote a crack for the program so it could work....
I would nose around to see what the computer science people are doing becuase you know they are downloading whatever they want, and nobody knows except them!
Anyway my suggestion it to use something like
http://www.jokershouse.com/dexfinder.html to find indexs of music, and then when the download prompt comes up change the file name to zip or soemthing else so it doesn't appear that you are downloading an mp3. I hope this works - its only a guess!
Another thing that will protect your privacy is surfning through
http://www.megaproxy.com/
I hope all of this stuff helps!
