I'd rather listen to Linkin' Park than Yngwie Malmsteen. Maybe that is a bad example though.

I was a decent enough guitar player in my day. I was voted the best guitar player in Syracuse, NY in 1989. Was into the whole neo-classical metal thing and played it well.

Anyway, the rock guitar solo is dead but personally, I don't miss it.
