Getting your real estate license?

I'm looking into going through the 75 hours of classes mandated by law before I can take the New Jersey Real Estate test. I just decided the other day that I'm going to pursue my license and look for a property manager. Anyone here who has any experience and can give some tips on any level of the process from classes to the test to finding a good property manager, please share.

I would also appreciate any book recommendations on the subject that really help. It's my gf's family business and even they know little about it.

I'm in NJ and that is most likely where i'll be taking classes/test so anything super specific about this state would be great.

Thanks in advance! I know there are lots of people here who do this to some capacity.
