A friend of mine who is having a Christmas Eve party (We're Jewish) as her house which I was invited to just called me to ask if I am interested in a friend of hers which we met at a party a couple of weeks ago.

Apparently, her friend, who was also invited to the Christmas Eve party, had e-mailed her and asked if I'm going to be in the party and if I'm single.

Well, after telling my friend I'm not interested in her friend, she told me it might be a bit awkward if I come to her party then and it's probably best if I don't go.

I thought invitations were like gifts, you're not supposed to be able to take them back. Now what I am supposed to do on Christmas Eve?
