Business model for spammers is "spam from this server until stopped, then move to next server, next host, next IP, next relay, next program that can handle the heat"... accepting at each step that their stuff is not considered acceptable by a large cross section of the net, the constant moving, dodging, and hiding as a result of doing something that is only tolerated by certain groups and people. It is a business, yes, but not exactly one that they will come out and admit to - and most of the programs won't admit it out loud either.
