Ive been donating a lil time this year and it has filled me with Xmas Joy.
I rallyed a local group of guys at our local tavern and we provided small trees to residents in the new retirement home down the street from where I reside. We all bought a couple small trees (4-5ft) and headed down there in our pickups. When the guy at the tree lot heard what we were doing.. he got all choked up.. jumped in one of his U-Haul trucks and brought down a huge tree for the lobby and a small tree for every resident that wanted. Meanwhile the wives/girlfriends boogied to Big Lots and bought every decoration that was available and brought back to the home... We decked the halls and decorated the trees and sang carols and it might sound corny as hell.. but I am glowing today !!!
