What does being found guilty have to do with anything? You still have to disrupt your life either by sitting in jail, or going to jail and getting bailed out. You would then have to go from Canada to California for possibly multiple court dates on your dime to prove you are innocent. No chance in hell I would fly anywhere because someone owes me money, especially under these circumstances. Anyone that would is off in the head.
