in canada the age of consent laws are federal...so there is one law across the country....yeah...
i believe that the age of consent is 14.... there are also some caveats about being in a position of authority etc.... ie the 28 y.o. teacher of 14 year old would have a few problems.
i believe there is a different age of consent for anal sex(ie gay teens) but it is clear that that law would not stand a legal challenge under the equality provisions of the Charter of Rights.
There is no (statutory or otherwise)rape in canada by the way.... just sexual assault (have to be politically correct)
