I have the Treo 650 w/Cingular. I'm mostly happy with it. There are TONS of apps for this thing. I just bought one that will let me watch 28 channels on my Treo, not too bad!

If you ever need service though, a word of advice. I DESTROYED my screen, and sent it in to get repaired, and followed their directions to the T. When you send in the device, remove EVERYTHING. Stylus, BATTERY, and SIM Tray. They sent my repaired phone back missing the battery and sim tray. It took another 1+week to get them to send me the missing parts. Otherwise, it went ok.

If you use MUNDU for Instant Messaging, and have large contact lists (as I do), you will notice it will crash the device and send it rebooting once in a while. This seems to happen when it has a large # of status messages built up and you switch back to that program when it hasn't been onscreen for a while.

The camera is so-so. Its only good for documenting something spur-of-the-moment. The color balance and exposure leaves a lot to be desired. But hey, its a PDA/Phone as well, you can't have it all.

It is a little annoying not to be able to set the default contact list to be a secific group instead of all....would make searching my desired and most accessed lists a lot faster if it didn't have the obsucre groups included.

The 1.17 Cingular update included a voice upgrade that noticeably improved the voice quality on the phone. Signal strength, coverage, and overall quality of phone calls is excellent.

Another plus...the memory card loads at the top, not the side like the HP devices, making it much easier to access while holding in your hand. Also, the device size is smaller than some of its competitors, and is more comfortable ergonomically.

I think the biggest complaint is that when IM and Email is turned on, it messes with BigB's speakers in the office next to me :-)

Regards,
