the longest I ever had it was 7 inches but I cut it because my hair kept stabbing me in the eyes when I had it down.
haha, your hair wont 'snap' in half or anything. at least its never happened to me nor any of my friends..
yea driving or sitting in a vehicle does become a problem when you have yer hair up. i just pushed all my hair to the side and sat up straight and when I got out my hair would pop back upright without phasing it. just a little pain you have to go thru for utter hair awesomeness.
