For some reason some people get defensive and shout "YOU HATE US" as soon as someone disagrees with something they are doing. It is a weak generalization that doesn't apply to Canadians as a whole.

Besides nationality, regular American and Canadian aren't that different from one another imo. There's going to be differences sure, but our lifestyles are very similiar. And I still have yet to meet that ignorant American that everyone talks about.
The ONE thing the U.S. has that I WISH we had more of up here, is undying patriotism. I still get chills down my spine when I think about the MLB All-Star game during the first gulf war. When they played the American National Anthem, the crowd practically drowned out the last 2 verses of the song they were so loud.
In Canada, we just boo when they start singing the French verse of Oh Canada.

I don't think that's what he said. He doesn't like all Canadian citizen's being generalized by "Some people" in the U.S. As he said, the biggest thing about the U.S. that I dislike is the way your President is ruining your country. And make no mistake, he IS ruining it.
Being the only superpower left in the world doesn't mean imposing your will on others and alienating everyone that disagrees with you. That's EXACTLY what's happening within our industry today, by, guess who? That same adminstration. God is telling them he doesn't like what you produce, and they don't want anyone else watching it. First amendment rights? Sorry, that plays second fiddle to their own agenda. Diplomacy is something lost on this administration. When God is your co-pilot, he's the only one you have to answer to...seemingly.
That being said, I know, and hope most other Canadians know that there are still rational people in the U.S. that will protect it's citizens rights. The supreme court being one. But your current administration is causing a great deal of problems, and his dropping popularity only proves it further.
That's what most Canadians and people have a problem with, the administration...NOT the people.
