Erm, that's the whole point - the person who originally gave you the gift doesn't know you actually put the gift to good use

What else do you do with a gift you don't want/need? Mine either go to charity (the marble candlestick holders that weigh about 10 pounds each) or I regift (someone gave me a sterling silver dachshund charm necklace, my Mom has a dachshund so I regifted to her) or it sits there doing absolutely no one any good - I'd rather someone get some use out of it
