Hey, Joe..how's it hangin'? Life's good here..

For me, the six pounds is okay....I needed a laptop for two reasons. One to travel and one to have in my den to be available when I'm not in my office...so monitor size was a little more important to me than weight, although I did not want one of those that weighed a ton. I have a leather carrying case for it, so all in all, it weighs in around 8 lbs..not bad for a carryon at the airport and the 15 inch screen works well for me.

One other thing that bothered me about the Toshiba Portege was it seemed too light, which, to me translated into fragility. It seemed too breakable, although those who have it, say it's very sturdy for its weight.

What I found, however, is traveling doesn't allow me much room to open the 15 inch...so I'm probably going to do what I didn't want to do, which is buy another one that is smaller...probably the Sony 10.6 inch. It's tiny and can fit into my purse.

I do, however, like the functionality of this Fujitsu.....so if they have a lighter model, I may look into that.....I'm not a great lover of Sony..but so far, that's the smallest, lightest one I've seen.
