My question is more along the lines of, "If I use this, will it be as universally playable as if I had a pro do the authoring."

I'd like control over the look, so I'm wondering the best way to do that. Give Photoshop files for the menu +tapes of the video to an authoring outfit? Or try to put it all together myself?
