1) Build a target consumer profile based on solid market research
2) Find out where this demographic hangs out on the Internet. e.g. direct sites vs. affinity sites.
3) Compose a psychographic treatment of your target market. e.g. a hierarchy of 'come ons' that this group would react favorably to.
4) Convert the abstract come ons to actual premiums with solid calls to action. ie., blog sites with free info, coupon sites, value added link resource sites, articles, etc.
5) Create a list of direct sites -- sort between PAID and free. Create a list of affinity sites -- sort between PAID and free.
6) Focus on the FREE sites first. These will be your guinea pigs re the effectiveness of your initial campaign.
