Gollum was one of a litter I midwifed, and he has Down's syndrome, (which, until the vet did the test for it, I didn't realize cats could have!). As a by-product of the disease, he has a very enlarged heart and isn't supposed to be as old as he is - he was supposed to have died before age 3. He's 5 now. He's my spoiled rotten baby-san.
