while it would still be morally wrong, it would at least have been somewhat more tolerable if the american public would benefit from the oil resources that have been conquered... use the profits to reduce taxes or something... but as you said, this too goes to his own private benefit.
At least Hussein shared the wealth of the state with (some) of his people. Bush hasn't even lived up to that standard.
