Because, from what you're saying; bad luck is a result of poor choices..
Depending on the chain of events - people that die, accidents, natural disasters - those things you can't prevent nor do you have control over.

Getting good life insurance, good accident/medical insurance or natural disaster coverage, that you do have control over though.

I've had periods in my life where everything & I mean everything went bad - there was just no getting out of it and with everything I did, I always did it thinking 'it's going to go bad'. Well when I start thinking harder and make my decisions levelheaded and sure of what I'm doing - things go better. But that's me - I don't know what happened to you but I'm telling you, try thinking positive and thinking of now & plant a seed to make tomorrow better.
