Ive been down to Cinci several times, and some of the areas are rather nuts. I actually live ~3.5 hours north east of you in canton area. But had a girlie down there for a bit.
Dude if you have kids around who do that shit, just shave your head. People make assumptions about other people based on looks.
It usually keeps the white trash and the gansta wannabe's away.. Add in one or two more young guys with shaved heads, people freak.
So if nothing else people may not pick on you, just shoot at you. ;)
