Yes, you were right Sly. The '2 weeks' is the life span of your lenses, not their continuous wear time. There are special lenses you can wear for a week or two without taking them out but it's retarded to do this unless you have those specific lenses.
I used to work in an optometrist's office and I've seen all kinds of contact lens abuse. People who go against the recommended wear time for their specific lenses can do some very serious damage to their eyes. There's a serious risk of infection because they need to be taken out every day and cleaned. There was also be physical damage done to the surface of your cornea - your eyes need oxygen. I think it's crazy to be so lazy with your personal health. It's the same as not changing your underwear for weeks at a time. Yes, that gross.
