ccbill processing is OK, but their free affiliate tracking system - well you get what you pay for in that instance.

I used them for my paysite and did well with my own traffic, however programs that rely upon them for affiliate tracking - this is a different function than merely processing a card - tend to show poor affiliate ratios much of the time. The sponsors keep seeing good ratios (because they get all the untracked sales that affiliates send and don't get credit for) but find other excuses to blame it on, such as claiming the affiliates traffic is poor quality when it isn't or that the affiliates don't understand what a first page raw hit is (which is condescending and usually untrue).

If you've got the budget, you'd probably do well with your own affiliate tracking program like a NATS type system which would keep track of all the data until it actually sends the last step of the payment processing to ccbill or one of the backup processors.

Why sponsors are willing to invest many thousands of dollars in content, design, programming, promotion, traffic etc and then just take the first free affiliate system they can find is beyond me. CCbill is a great program for site owners and they do pay very consistently, but their affiliate software is really just something to help webmasters get started with IMO.
