Need some help (Computer related - Windows XP Pro)
Ok, now I'm no "newbie" with computers or windows, but lately I've noticed that every single folder on my hard drive are Read-Only. Ok, so just right click, go to properties and uncheck the read-only box, apply, ok, right?? Well sure, but that doesn't do shit in this case. It used to, but not anymore. So, in the end, all the folders remains read-only.
So then I decide to go to a command prompt.. strat, run, CMD
in there I typed attrib -r +s c:\foldername (whatever folder you want to apply this to)
well, that didn't do shit.
So now I go to the folder that I'm trying to undo the read-only shit. I right click, go to properties, go to security and set every user to have full access to see if that would let me take off the damn read-only on every folder.
Now here I am still not able to take off the read-only on any folder. Has anyone here ever had this problem and if so how did you fix it?
