and thats i guess the shit that i cant understand. with the amount of tourist dollar that is going through, you would think that they all would be getting a hand full of it.

Ah, yeah I see what you mean. For the most part Hawaii is pretty safe, but its like anywhere, there are certain places you shouldn't venture off. A lot of the locals do have it pretty bad, a good chunk of family owned land was bought for very cheap by Dole or other companies and turned into plantation land, or taken forcefully by the military in the early 1900s to use as training grounds, housing, bunkers, etc. The story of native Hawaiians is very similar to that of Native Americans. But since all forms of gambling is illegal in Hawaii, they can't open up casinos and instead of working a good number of them turn to crime.
