TVR... and let's not forget Aston! I've seen a few of 'em run at Watkins Glen and clean up in their class. Why? Combination of things.. including weight distrobution, smoother torque delivery (particularily compared to LS1 350s and 377s you'll find under the bonnet of Corvettes), and a chassis designed with a small polar moment (ie low overhang leading to quicker steering response) and tight roll axis (yielding many performance advantages, including wheel & camber rates which increase the effective traction capacity of the tyres).
