14 - 18 ages seem to a little bit more sophisticated then when i was in that age group, and chances are, they are pretty savvy.. so if they want to find porn they will find it... and they will uinstall or work around any porn blocker that the parents put on. this "teen" group can be free to surf through the whole internet, rather than creating another age-grouping TLD.

The PCMag writer does seem ridiculous to even suggest that .XXX is going to save everyone from porn.

What's more ridiculous is the hypocrasy of those that lament against how bad or evil porn is, yet they have visited a strip club, watched a porn video, had sex without being married, had sex with someone other than your spouse, or jerked off.....

No one other than kids, priests (the ones that don't abuse children), virgins, or nuns should be offended by porn.

Having explicit images thrown right in people's (or children's faces) is not good.... and there are simple measures that some are doing to help out with tihs issue, by not putting any explicit images on the home page, and you have to click to get into the content, rather than it just showing up.

blocking of sidedoors and entry into a website due to SE linking, would be nice to see as well, since inadvertant exposure could be had by clicking on a SE result...

One of the rallying points for .XXX is that the a surfer could see the .XXX extension in the domain in the SE results and know not to click there if they didn't want to see adult content.

It's a very valid point and certainly one way to "label" a domain, but .XXX TLD has way too much baggage to be feasible.
