The problem that most people have with Catholics is the stance that is taken on gay marriage and abortions. Neither of which they will have to worry about until they are 18.
I was raised a catholic...sure i smoke the ganja every now and then...and ive banged hundreds of women....but i don't steal, lie, cheat, I am respectful, I have morals, and my ethics are up to par with most saints...all because of the way i was brought up.
i am no longer a catholic because god does not exist to me....not because the catholic religion sucks.

It can paralyze you though. I was convinced that if I let a guy touch me before marriage I would burn in hell. I was sure I could almost feel it happen on the spot. Then I met someone I loved and I knew there was no difference between the love I had before and after the ring.
I don't mind moral framework but I do mind they way in which it is delivered.
