Google adwords takes quite a lot of money to see any decent return, because it's pretty hit and miss. You can spend $500 and only get 10 sales and then the next $100 will get you another 10.. This requires a substantial investment for it to be worthwhile. Same goes for buying gallery traffic -- one top hun gallery will get you only 10 sales for a $300 loss but the next one will get you 30 to make up for it.
I think it's better to build a stable network of free sites with free traffic until you are netting at least $300 per day before you venture into paid spots (at least for adult).
