Micheal Moore is a great guy. I grew up abut 2 miles from his house, and I wouldnt say i followed his career, but I have been reading about Micheal Moore since his high school days at Davison High School in Davison Mi.
My father used to work for General Motors, back when General Motors was the number one employer in country. He made about $600 a week, plus benefits, and after taxes. The number one employer in the country now? Wal-Mart. Wages, $125 part time, $300?? a week maybe.. after taxes.
My father was one of the many laid off auto workers so that meant rough times for about a year or so, until my father found work at an Oldsmobile plant, 2 hours drive away in Lansing.
For a year and a half, we were on food stamps, free school lunch, and my mom waited in line for goverment cheese. My father took up odd jobs in the meantime to try to make ends meet.
Many other people were not so lucky.
Micheal Moore is a hero to people in Michigan. Its not surprising to me at all, that its a blue state.
Micheal Moore has always been against corporate greed and corruption. What else is there to say?? Its the main reason behind EVERY one of his movies. I wasnt real crazy about Bowling for Columbine, becuase im for gun ownership. But ... all in all.... Micheal Moore has been swift boated and smeared by corporations ands politicians.
If you hate Micheal Moore. You dont know Micheal Moore. Period.
