Rooftop? Naw, last time I checked my ip cable runs in to my 3rd-floor office, allowing me to post from the comfort of my workstation.
So... 4-digits represents only $1,000 to you.
Next time the phone rings - odds are its not Mensa.
Had you taken more than a brief moment before hitting send on your above comment - you might have considered
all the issues concerning bankruptcy. In the case of iBill - bankruptcy isn't based solely on money owing. Any experienced webmaster will tell you about sales momentum - and what happens when you're forced to cut loose your recurring customer base when you switch to a different transaction processor. Effectively, a lot of wind spills from the sails. You're basically forced to start at ground-zero, enticing former customers back in to the fold.
When iBill stopped payments to us last Sept/'04 - we immediately dumped their service. And along with that...recurring memberships on all our sites. Not only were we not getting paid by iBill - we could no longer rely on income from recurring subscriptions.
Combined
with the direct halt of iBill payments,
that's what nearly bankrupted us.
But you would already know that, since you obviously assume to know everything in this thread.
