Anakin Hated the Emperor all along.
However why did it take em 20 years to realise that what the emperor promised was bullshit. He should have killed the emperor plane and simple at any point after the death of Padme.
Anakin wanted to kill em, even when he decided to learn the ways of the "Dark side".
Not to mention the Emporer when he told the story of Darth Plagus, the most powerful sith off all, it seems like Darth Plagus was actually the Emporers mentor while they were discussing the ability to keep people from dying.
