A legitimate source??? God hasn't even been proven to be true, considering the old testament proven to be a legitimate source would imply having it proven to be the word of God, so, obviously, what you are saying is bullshit.
Furthermore, In Deuteronomy chapter 13 it is said that all people living in cities where heathens live should be killed. How many cities do you know where only "believers" live? That's right, everyone should be killed according to the old testament.

Am I saying his army consisted of saints? I am merely stating the he fought for something we would consider preferable to the Taliban regime, that he had the support of the majority of people, and that he warned about terrorism.
Now, sure his army did those things. Most armies do during war. What exactly is your point?
And who ever said islam is a peaceful religion? It is no more peaceful - or violent - than any other religion (except maybe for buddhism, daoism, confucianism and mohism, which are all against war)
Islam is no different from christianity and judaism in its violent nature (like you said yourself), so why single out islam?
