Personally, I find myself getting stuck here at the forums when I know damn well that I should be working. Why is that? What's the allure? I think it has something to do with like-minded people being attracted to each other, but with most of the crap that's posted here, I simply cannot convince myself that what we get done here is a valuable expenditure of time.

However, I don't think any webmasters here actually create a business plan and include 'posting crap on GFY' - unless it's a very pessimistic business plan.

Most of us just hang around here because we're 'earning enough' - we know we could earn truckloads more, but instead, we relax and chat about nothing here on GFY.

So, I feel sorry for the sponsors advertising here. Of course, this is a very exaggerated statement, but I feel that advertisers here are under the impression that this is a place where a huge bunch of great webmasters hang out, and that's simply not the case. Every (again - exaggerated) webmaster here is a lazy, procrastinating, 'mid-range' webmaster who probably will stick to whatever crap they are promoting already, and don't give a shit about Billy-bob and his new content, or about Timmy-titnose who has a new affiliate program. We just don't care. We are the lazy end of the stick. We are here to fuck around and if we feel like it - make a few business exchanges with other lazy shits like ourselves.

The majority of people come to GFY to chew the fat. We should be working, but we're too lazy. Do you really want such people to promote you?
