What age range is a teen? Obviously 13-19. Those are the "teen years."
An adjective is a part of speech which modifies a noun, usually making its meaning more specific. Adjectives are used in a predicative or attributive manner; as in, ?young? teen or ?red? apple.
A ?teen? could be anyone from the age of 13 to 19. A ?young teen? is more specifically 13 to 16, which is the younger half of the possible age range. A person described as an ?older teen? would be more specifically 16 to 19 years of age.
