I've flown chicago/denver countless times. Flying the route I've had bad turbulence once, (just made my nuts hurt - was more fun watching everyone else freak out), and had an engine noise once which was two hours of this annoying as fuck sound - god that drove me insane.
Drove chicago/denver seven times. Once time Chicago to Denver, 4am on 80 in Nebraska there was dude that flew past me(I was doing 85 - he musta been at 60+), took me a minute to realize HE WAS ON MY SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. Now that really gave me a sick feeling and had a hard time driving the rest of the way.
Moral of the story - I'll take some turbulence any day over the shit that happens daily on the road.
