And as you also say, surfer is smarter. I have the feeling that its not only affecting how they find find free porn, but the ratios can be affected by the supply of paysites too. They are not that impulsive anymore, and might surf more paysites before they choose which site to signup with and this will give "worser" overall ratios.
So in the end, its not ratios but $$ that counts
