Listen to me...Simon Cowell is almost single handedly responsible for trashing the British music chart. Pop Idol (as it was called in the UK) was huge over here and since then we have had THREE of the contestants go to number one.

The only amusing thing was that Simon tried to rig the show so that the person he wanted to work with won. However, another kid was a better singer and took the prize. So, what does Simon do..well...instead of waiting two months to release the runner's up song, as he had promised, he releases it the week after.

The kid that won has a really good voice but they have made him do crap songs...including a lame lounge lizard cover of 'Come on baby light my fire".
