I'm hitting up Beijing next month, I'll be visiting Mao's tomb in the center of Tienanmen Square. I am told that no cameras/videocams or anything of that sort is allowed inside where his body lies in rest. I have read that it is extremely dark in there and it's a worship-like shrine to him almost. That guy is responsible for a helluva' lotta deaths, and he gave the green light for N. Korea to attack the south, which my grandfather fought for. What's the book called that you're reading, I'm curious.
