maybe if both parties cheated, then its like even playing field but if only one partner did, its much harder. they will always be suspicious, they will always throw that in your face when they are pissed at you and basically never trust you for years, if ever.
as for the guys delimma, bang her for a while and get to know what she is like now but don't let yourself get close to her, not yet at least. if you think she has 'changed' give it a go if you feel so inclined. if not, at least you got laid.
