I agree, the welfare system is ridiculous. Fact is though, it's there, and it doesn't cost thousands extra to print her a check. It's already in place, hemorrhaging money out of the system to the poor and lazy. As that's the case, the people that actually need it might as well use it too.

actually it does, i saw a study recently that put the pricetag of the average welfare recipent at well over $2000 per month, ( thats at an average of around $700 per month to the recepient ) Thats money we are paying.
And b.c. food banks like the salvation army ARE funded by tax dollars. ( at least partially anyways ). I know because i often hunt deer and take the deer into the salvation army for tax credit..
point is its much easier ( and cheaper ) to just give her some money for 3 months that she can relax and look for a job, because once she is on welfare she wont be able to.
