I just think it's so cool how you conservatives always say it's up to the community and church to help out someone in need, but you're also the first to turn your back on someone who actually needs help. You're just ugly, small-minded people. I don't think you can help it though, because you don't possess the intelligence or empathy it takes to put yourself in someone else's position. It's beyond your ability.
Hey isn't it great the way Reagan threw all the mentally ill people out on the streets and then did NOTHING for them? That'll teach them to be sick.

You keep calling me a conservative like it makes it easier for you to classify me or something. I know you're smarter than that, so come on, enough already.
As for empathy for the poor? You know what. I came from poverty. I grew up poor living with a single mom who worked her ass off to struggle by. Everything I and my family have now came from hard work. You know what we didn't need to do though? Ask for hand outs.
You think throwing money at someone that just lost their husband is going to solve anything? Seriously, if you want to be charitable and feel good about yourself, then give your money to somebody who really does need it. Your example of the mentally ill is a good one.
