But for some people spending the holiday alone is preferable to spending it with the family.... with the overbearing opinionated idiot brother-in-law.... the sister-in-law who 'never never spanks her kids'..... the army of half-pint hellions, underdisciplined all....... the obnoxious uncle pervy who always wants the nieces to "come sit on his lap"..... the crackhead nephew who never has a job and is always broke but comes around for a free meal whenever it's convenient.....

If my family were like that I'd spend a lot more holidays alone, or at the very least far far away on a trip visititing people who don't make you want to do a murder-suicide. :D
