I don't think it's
that big of a deal going 100mph on a turnpike, for example, being as the limit is 65 (in this area) but going 100mph in a 35mph zone is just plain stupid. In 35 zones you're generally in a heavy residential neighborhood with schools, etc and people all over the place. Going that fast in an area like that is not only stupid, it's endangering the lives of many other people.
Sure, 100mph on a 65mph turnpike isn't smart either, but there is far less of a chance of many other people getting hurt or killed if you make a minor mistake.
