Because the Republican proposal was to pull them out "tomorrow".. The vote would have been different if it has been "pull them out over 6-9 months" as the Democrats have been talking about.... What's more interesting is that the Republicans put forward this proposal... but then none of them voted for it... it was just a stunt so they could use it in ads and the media down the road to continue to brainwash the intellectually challenged.
