That's a great concept until you count in that most of the trades are going to be using the same method so instead of getting the (non shit) back, they're just receiving roughly the same quality that they're sending. You're right about the site owners being able to charge more for paid spots, however to the end user the value doesn't increase, only their overhead. I for one keep a VERY close watch on the language stats of the traded traffic on my site.
