Apparently you missed The Undertaker throwing Mick Foley 20 feet off the top of a cage onto an announcer's table, Foley being carted out on a stretcher, refusing to quit so he got up, walked back, scaled the cage only to have the dead man choke slam him through the top of the cage onto the wooden canvas 15 feet below ... and then, after 15 minutes more of fighting be power-bombed onto thumbtacks.
Yes, it's staged, but these guys really do get hurt.
Anyhow, whatever your beliefs or feelings about the "sport" Eddie was a very popular guy and it's always a tragedy when someone so young passes on.
btw, for the curious, it was a massive heart failure likely due to the drugs and alcohol he was addicted to up until a few years ago - he went clean, but apparently too late.
