I agree with you totally. This is truly sad for all parties involved, and as was mentioned I am hearing the school turning into a race war which upsets me even more. Everyone here remembers HS and the rumours and crap that goes on, and this situation only brings to the forefront the worst in mankind when we point fingers based on skin tone and gossip. Being from the same city we both also know the police efforts and what they are going through regarding all this, their judgement will be in question and the racial card will be played.
In your earlier statement you made mention that assault in any form is still assault and I hope that no one looses sight of that - unfortunately this is a pandora's box - where not only is sexual harassment between sexes is happening more often than anyone wants to admit, but it is now being mixed with our cultural stereotypes overshadowing the victims year long cry.
