I've been in the content business for several years now, and before that and to this day, also a webmaster who makes sites.
I am wondering, on average, how much time to you spend getting a photo set or video ready for your sites?
I'm talking about the time you spend making galleries, cutting up movies for clips, editing and encoding, resizing, optimizing, watermarking, etc.
Do you count the time you spend as part of the cost? I know myself, I many times discounted my time, and never figured it into the cost of content.
When I first began selling content, I was interested in giving webmasters inexpensive content. Now, I'm focusing more on value, in return on investment and in time. It only makes sense to not only invest your money wisely, but also your time.
I've decided that offering services such as pre-made galleries, different sizes of photos, pre-made promotional clips, watermarking etc. is something that is of value to the content buyer.
I'd like to know your thoughts on this, because at
Sell my Content this is the direction we decided to go and I'd really like some feedback on how much value you all place on these types of things.
