Age is always a great way to excuse yourself when watching yourself deteriorate over the years. Being overweight and unhealthy at 30, 40 or 50 is more a result of lazyness, carelessness and lack of dedication than any pseudo-scientific myths such as "slowed metabolism at higher age".
